Reading Amateur Regatta in 2012

In 2012 the Reading Amateur Regatta will be held on Saturday 9^th* and Sunday 10^th* of June. The format of racing will be the same as previous years: A buoyed two lane course is rowed downstream, starting from stakeboats with bank umpiring**.

The Reading Amateur Regatta gives crews an excellent opportunity to gain experience in one to one racing: every race is a final!

On Saturday the race distance will be 1500 metres, whilst on Sunday this is reduced to 1100 metres (Fawley Length). On Sunday, during the lunch interval there will be a special events for junior rowers so they can get experience rowing at a big Regatta**.

On Saturday, like previous years, the winners of several events will be presented with a Trophy. The names of the winning crew will be engraved on the Trophy*.
